How to put on the NUK nipple shield correctly:

To find the right size nipple shield for you, you should first ask yourself a few questions: Is the breast attachment comfortable to wear? Does the nipple fill the cavity of the nipple shield? Do the baby's lips completely enclose the attachment? If you can answer these questions with "yes", you have found the right size for your nipple shield and can start using it. So that your little darling can drink to his fullness in peace, you should follow these steps:

1. Before using the nipple shield, you should wash your hands thoroughly and clean the breast with a damp cloth.
2. The adhesion of the NUK nipple shields can be increased by slightly moistening them with water or breast milk.
3. For an optimal position on the nipple, pull the contact surfaces of the nipple shield towards the tip so that it can be easily placed in the middle; you can then put the contact surfaces back and align them according to the desired breastfeeding position.
4. After each use, you should clean the breast with water to remove milk residue and thus prevent the formation of germs.

How to clean the nipple shield

Handling your baby requires a high level of hygiene at all times. After using the nipple shield, it is best to clean it immediately with warm water and a gentle detergent. It can then be dried in a hygienic environment. The protective container provided is recommended for subsequent storage. You should generally disinfect or boil the nipple shield daily. To do this, cover the shield completely with water to avoid damage and boil it quickly and without hesitation. Thanks to this hygienic use, the breast attachment can be used several times.
